Yesteryear Collection

Automotive journalist Fred Fox once said that "anticipation and hope had always been the hallmark of the Studebaker organization." And this philosophy was best expressed in the top-of-the-line Studebaker Golden Hawk, one of the great classics of the '50s. The 1958 Golden Hawk in particular was famed for its legendary handling and performance. That year, the Packard V-8 was replaced by a McCulloch supercharger that literally made the Hawk fly - generating 275 bhp and providing exhilarating acceleration despite the 3,470 pound mass. Already a dashing design, the '58 Golden Hawk was enhanced with larger concave steel fins and the 400 model came with leather-trimmed interior, upholstered trunk and special trim details.
Although the car came "loaded," options included power steering for $69, white sidewall tyres ($28) and "hill holder" ($15). Only 878 of this rare car were produced, including the one your model is based on. Authentic in detail, your replica is painted in the same factory colours as the original - Glendale Green Poly body with Arctic white tail side and Midnight Black interior.
